The quick copy function lets you duplicate objects quickly with a keyboard shortcut.
How to Quick Copy
Select any object on your page and hold the Alt key (Windows) or Option key (Mac), then click and drag. This creates a duplicate of the selected object without having to use copy and paste commands. Quick copy is especially useful when building layouts. Instead of switching tools repeatedly, you can create one frame and then quick copy it across your layout.
Using Quick Copy on Multiple Objects
You can even quick copy multiple objects at once. Select them together, then dragging with Alt/Option held down.
Quick Copy Grouped Elements
Quick copy works well with grouped objects. If you’ve created a design element—such as a photo frame with a caption box—and grouped them together, you can quick copy the entire group. This maintains the relationship between the elements and makes it easy to create consistent repeating elements throughout your spreads.
💡 TIP: After creating multiple copies, you can use the align tools to distribute them evenly across your page for a professional layout.
