Flowing Teacher with Class Portraits

Including a Teacher in a New Flow

  1. Go to Portrait Flow and create a new flow.
  2. Name the flow and choose to flow portraits by teacher.
  3. In the Flow Group, use the Search field to find the teacher — this accounts for name variations in your data.
  4. Check Include the teacher with the class and select the teacher from the list. (Portraits with a grade of “Staff”, “STF”, “STA”, or “Faculty” appear as options.)
  5. Optionally add an assistant teacher. You can include up to 4 total teachers or assistants per class.
  6. If a teacher portrait is missing: click Add a Missing Teacher to create a placeholder record — replace the placeholder with an actual image later.
  7. Click Next.

Teacher Display Options

  • Select the teacher’s title (e.g., “Ms. Burks” or “Ms. Tina Burks — title + last name or title + full name).
  • Select a larger portrait size for the teacher.
  • Set teacher placement: left or right of the student flow (useful for matching inside/outside of the page consistently).
  • Deactivate portrait frames in the preview to customize layout — for example, place teachers above all students by deactivating the top row for students.

Flow and Repeat for Efficiency

  • Use Flow Portraits and Repeat instead of Flow Portraits — it flows the group and returns you to the start page automatically with settings preserved.
  • Create the next class flow with the same settings, adjust only what’s different for that class, then click Flow Portraits.
