Adobe Express lets you enhance and stylize photos from within eDesign. Here’s how to use adjustments and effects:
- Open the image: Right-click a photo in your Candids library and choose Edit (or click the Edit button below the preview). The image opens in Adobe Express.
- Adjust (under Edit tab): Use Adjust to make basic photo enhancements — saturation, warmth, shadows, and highlights.
- Effects: Click View All to see the full range of predefined filters. Apply any filter and use the toggle controls to adjust its intensity.
- Tones (duotones): Under Effects > Tones, choose a preset duotone or click Custom to pick your own shadow and highlight colors by hex code. Use the arrows to transpose the two colors.
- Photoshop filters and shadows: Additional filters are available under Effects. Note: drop shadows are better applied inside eDesign itself, since opacity effects don’t transfer back from Adobe Express as expected.
- Before publishing: Click away from the image into the gray area and set the background to No Fill (transparent checkerboard) if you want a transparent background. Click Publish — the edited image returns to your library and is marked as a new version, with the original preserved.
