Using Practice Pages

Accessing Practice Pages

  1. Go to the Book module.
  2. From the Edit menu at the top right, choose Practice Pages.

Using Practice Pages

  • Each user has their own practice pages — changes are private to you.
  • Use practice pages to learn eDesign features or experiment with ideas without affecting any actual book pages.
  • You can do anything on practice pages that you can do on a real spread, with one exception: you cannot save practice pages. Their purpose is learning and experimentation only.

Saving Your Work as a Template

  1. While on practice pages, go to the File menu.
  2. Choose Save as Template.
  3. The contents of the practice pages will be saved to the template library.
  4. Drag and drop the template onto any actual spread in your book.

Leaving Practice Pages

  • When you leave, a notification reminds you that your work will not be saved.
  • Save your work as a template before leaving if you want to keep it.
