Download PDF Guide ↗

Follow this guide to see how you can modify text formatting without without highlighting the text inside the frame. This is useful for applying consistent formatting across all text in a frame or multiple text blocks.

Using Text Frame Selection

Instead of double-clicking to enter text editing mode and highlighting individual characters, simply select the text frame with the selection tool (arrow). This makes the entire text frame the target for formatting changes. You can also select multiple frames to apply formatting to them all at once.

Apply Formatting to the Entire Frame

Switch to the text tool while the frame is selected. Now any formatting changes you apply will affect all text in the selected frame(s) at once. This approach is perfect for:

  • Changing fonts
  • Adjusting text size
  • Applying color to all text
  • Modifying line spacing or tracking
