In eDesign you can place an image inside live, editable text to use as a fill for headlines or display text.
- With a text frame on the page, drag an image from the library and hover it over the text frame until you see the blue highlight. Release — eDesign will ask if you want to place the image inside the text. Click Yes.
- The text frame now functions as both a text frame and an image frame simultaneously. You can still move, resize, and edit the text.
- Crop the image inside the text: Select the frame, then click the Crop icon in the control panel (double-clicking will put your cursor into text editing mode instead). Drag to reposition the image.
- Edit the text: Use the Text tool to click inside the frame and make text edits as normal.
- Remove the image: Select the frame and click Remove Image in the control panel or after right-clicking on the frame. The frame returns to a solid fill.
