Flipping Layouts and Mods
Flipping a Single Object vs. Multiple Objects
- Single object flipped: the frame itself is flipped — future images placed into that frame will appear flipped
- Multiple objects flipped: select multiple objects to flip at once and eDesign will flip it as a group — future images placed into those fames will NOT appear flipped
Flipping a Mod
- Select all items in the mod.
- Choose Flip (horizontal or vertical) — the layout flips while text remains readable and future image contents stay in their normal orientation.
Flipping a Full Page Layout
- Go to Edit → Select All to select everything on the page. Make sure no objects are locked.
- Go to the Layout menu → choose Flip Layout (Horizontal, Vertical, or Both).
- After flipping, adjust layout and text frames as needed. Be sure to especially adjust text alignment — flipping does not reverse alignment — and check the page margins.
Example of Flip in Action
- Flip a mod to create alternate versions for left and right pages.
- Design a mod for the left-hand page → select all → Flip Horizontal → adjust text alignment → you now have a right-side page version.
