Watch the video above to walkthrough the steps of folio customization in eDesign.
The folio is the page number and any text or graphics you want to put on the top of every page. By default, eDesign puts a page number on each page which you can customize to suit the design of your book.
To edit your folio, log in as an adviser or editor → Book → Edit Folio.
Customizing Your Folio
- You can customize the folio’s size, font and color, and you can move it anywhere on the page. You can also set it up so that eDesign will auto-populate the page topic and section from the ladder.
- You can set the folio differently on the left and right page if you want certain elements only on one side.
- Finalize your folio before submitting any pages. After a page is submitted, the folio is locked and uneditable.
- You can turn off the folio on individual pages in page design or on a batch of pages in the ladder by using Spread Wizard. See the tutorial Style Wizard for Backgrounds and Folios for more information on this function.
