Tag Wizard uses facial recognition to help identify and tag students in photos. Before it can work, your school must activate it. Here’s what you need to know:
- Prerequisites: Tag Wizard requires both a name list and portraits in your eDesign book to function.
- Jumpstart option (for schools that used eDesign last year): Tag Wizard can use last year’s portraits to begin making tagging recommendations right away — before this year’s portraits arrive.
- Make sure a current year name list is uploaded into your eDesign book first. Use standard grade designations (not graduation years).
- Go to Settings > Tag Wizard and click Activate Tag Wizard.
- The Jumpstart option is selected by default. Check the box confirming you have a current year name list, then click Activate with Jumpstart.
- Allow 24 hours for the Jumpstart process to complete before expecting face matches to appear.
- First-time eDesign schools: A different Jumpstart option is available — contact your yearbook rep to discuss activation options.
